Human Design is a map of your energy — it combines an astronomical calculation of the moment you were born with the ancient wisdom of the I Ching. Your name is used only for numerology and the result heading — Human Design does not need it for the calculation.

No. The calculation runs without a database; the only memory of a result is the unique URL in your browser. The exception: a voluntarily entered e-mail (for results or the daily digest) is stored with the birth data it needs.

Planetary positions come from the astronomy-engine library (~0.003° accuracy); the Human Design engine exactly reproduces Ra Uru Hu’s published chart and the design chart uses the exact 88° of solar arc. The full methodology is published in Sources & Methodology.

We use 12:00 and the result flags time-sensitive values (ascendant, profile) where the exact minute matters. Your Human Design type is usually stable even with an approximate time.

The ascendant changes roughly every two hours and near a cusp the exact birth minute decides; tropical vs. sidereal zodiacs differ too. Our card warns you when you sit on a sign boundary.
