The 20 Mayan Seals and 13 Tones

The sacred Tzolkin count is made of twenty seals and thirteen tones. Twenty times thirteen is 260 — the number of days after which a pair repeats. We give both counts that exist today: the traditional Guatemalan one and José Argüelles’s Dreamspell from the 1980s, and we always say which is which.
